…is the best game of 2007. within the myriad of exceptionally innovative new-age gaming consoles, emerges an instant classic “press by colors” game. if you’ve ever played bishi bashi, you can appreciate the simplicity of it… the graphics for bishi bashi rivaled that of your average 8-bit cell phone game, but you kept playing it anyways. the key ingredient– it was idiot proof. when the color of the fish comes down your screen, press the corresponding button in front of you. that was pretty much it. compete against a few of your friends, then a few hours and couple hundred quarters later, you are left with a glow of post-orgasmic excitement on your face, and probably red, pulsating palms.
now how does that relate to guitar hero 3? same feelings, but better graphics. basically the best feeling you’ll have next to actually playing a guitar. this game has torn our civilization apart.
i started playing guitar hero 2 maybe 3-4 weeks ago. i saw a plastic guitar at a friend’s house and curiosity killed this cat. i asked to give it a rip… i instantly fell in love. a few days later we went to another one of my homie’s place and he happened to have guitar hero 1 and 2 AND two guitars.
it began.
incessant playing and twanging for days. i think the first time we went there, we played a good 6 hours. now, only a few weeks later we thought the pain would subside, but guitar hero 3 came out. i played it the first day it came out
later that week i picked it up and brought it to my friend’s place… and about 3 hours later we finished it and unlocked about 90% of the songs. our lives were over. thanks activision.
who knew a plastic toy with a bunch of buttons could keep 6 grown men occupied for hours on end without recess?
…although the barbie airplane is pretty dope, that only kept me busy for about 20 minutes.
barbie airplane ftw!!
